Bully - Christianity and the Culture of Bullying


Have you ever dealt with bullies?

This Power Point is from a sermon dealing on current events, in this case bullying. I found some great resources from Bullying and the Bible but could not find a web site for them, only a PDF. There is a lot of stuff out there on bullying but I wanted to focus on the Christian culture and bullying.

The most important take away are...

  1. Knowing the will of God to submit or resist
  2. Seeing Joseph as coming from a blended family
  3. Acting in faith not fear
  4. Assertive behavior not aggression
  5. Being a powerful person, not powerless
    • One great resource for this is Keep Your Love On by Danny Silk 
    • I have struggle with powerlessness and responsibility for some time both in theology and practical living. I think God made us with the ability to make a difference. We can see that difference in dealing with bullies.
